Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is one of the world's leading hospitals, treating 100,000 children each year. GOSHCC aims to raise £20 million every year for medical equipment and building projects, parents' accommodation and research.
I owe my life to the pioneering surgery provided by the hospital and the dedication of its staff. For this reason my dad, Howard Hines (aka Bean!) decided to become involved with BT's fund raising efforts for the charity. This resulted in the idea of a team sponsored Skydive!
With the hard work of the guys at BT (notably a big thanks to Christine) a team (below) has been assembled to jump from 12,000ft to raise as much money for GOSH as possible. Read more and donate at:
We had a great day on the 13th August, Dad and Sarah both got to jump! When the beer goes straight to your head in the evening you know you've had a good day ;-) See some screen captures (below) of the video I took of Dad strapped to Mark with Emily playing alongside. I made a good job of Dad's video but not such a good one of Sarah's. She jumped with Clem (who is not the beefiest of blokes) and I sank out on them by an irritating few feet. They should really get down to the pie shop together! Anyway, Sarah really enjoyed her jump which is the main thing and I'm sure she'll jump again....
